Ep. 4 Piranha (1978)

Do you hear the trilling?

A blatant Roger Corman backed mockbuster, looking to make some cash off of the animal attack craze of the mid 1970’s (thanks to Jaws) got some unlikely help from Spielberg himself, who viewed the entire exercise as parody- saving the production from a wrathful Universal lawsuit. But hey, no matter what, with Joe Dante at the helm, you are guaranteed to have an excellent viewing experience, especially in a talk about razor-toothed government bred killer fish. Join Chris as he talks up Roger Corman, playing it straight, and dispelling myths about Roosevelt in the Amazon as the LSCE screens 1978’s “Piranha.” Join us!
