Ep. 2 Razorback (1984)

One terrifying pig...

It’s called Ozploitation- the genre of cinema that covers a wide range of independent, comedy, sex, horror, action, & adventure films that all came out of “the land down under,” Australia. This weeks film is a gold star example of said genre- an action horror “Jaws” homage directed by Russell Mulcahy and penned by the marvelous Everett De Roche. Adapted from a pulp novel, a rhinoceros sized wild boar causes terror and carnage across the outback, as an American man goes into the wild to uncover what exactly happened to his missing journalist wife. Listen in to Chris as he sings the praises of Joe Bob Briggs, discussing ‘real problems’ caused by boars, and yet another story about how he bored his college mates as the LSCE screens the 1984 “Razorback.” Join Us!
