Ep. 9 The Prophecy (1995)

"It's actually more comfortable than it looks"

What if Milton had gotten it wrong? Satan wasn’t the only angel to revolt against god and a third heavenly faction arose to make war against the divine? In 90’s indie-horror fashion Christopher Walken is the rogue Archangel Gabriel, leading his own faction of renegades against the forces of heaven with the stated goal of cleansing humanity and returning god’s focus to Angelic kind. To do this, he needs to acquire the recently deceased soul of the most evil man on earth, and the only thing standing in his way is a little girl, a school teacher, and a broken seminary student turned cop. Tune in to hear Chris ruminate on “knowing your audience,” the subgenre of “religious horror” and how strong casts can save mediocre material as the LSCE screens the cult horror classic “The Prophecy.” Join us!
