Vampire in comedies are not anything new- they have been show at the multiplex- tangling with the likes of Bud Abbot & Lou Costello over 70 years ago and continuing on from there. By the time we are getting into the 80’s, the combining of the vampire motif with a teen sex comedy seemed like a natural next step.
